What it is
1 Reusable Metal (Rust-proof, unfilled) Jar* (Recyclable) + 2 Shampoo Powder Refills (1 Mint, 1 Sunny Citrus)
Replaces 2 plastic bottles of shampoo (8-12 oz).
Lasts 3-6 months (depends on hair type, the way you use it).
This is a salon-grade, plant-based shampoo refill, without the plastic waste, harmful chemicals, artificial fragrances. It comes in a compostable paper pouch. Save space, money, and be mindful of our environment with this powder-based haircare that turns into a lather like traditional haircare.
Store in any small container. Refill with pouches, reuse the container.

Best results on normal - dry hair. The product will foam less on the first wash if you've gone a long time between washes.
What it does
Removes oil, dirt using coconut-based cleansers. No harsh chemicals.
Boosts shine by restoring hair's PH, flattening hair cuticles, increasing shine.
Hydrates, softens hair with coconut oil, clinically proven to be the only oil to effectively penetrate hair shaft.
How long it lasts
1 pouch roughly replaces 1 plastic bottle of salon-grade liquid shampoo (8-12oz). For many, this acts as a 2-in-1 conditioning shampoo (shampoo + light conditioner).
What's in it (ingredients)
We only use premium, coconut-based ingredients. Your hair will feel lightly conditioned, hydrated, luxuriously soft. Customers say our plant-based ingredient list is too good to be true. All ingredients have a rating of EWG 1 (highest safety).
No palm-oil, sulfates, GMO's, parabens, petrochemicals, animal derivatives, phthalates. Vegan, cruelty-free, color safe.
Lightly scented with 100% natural essential oils.

How to use
1. WET hair and palms entirely. (Needs to be wet to foam).
2. SPRINKLE into palm, breaking apart granules with thumbs. Rub hands until a white paste.
3. LATHER.
Storage
Unopened pouches - store in cool, dry place for up to a year.
Once opened, use within 4 months.

There is a bit of a learning curve when beginning to use Cocofomm’s powdered shampoo, but keep working with it! I love the sustainability of the formula and the packaging. So far, it leaves my hair feeling clean and light, not dry, and no scalp itch when used every other day or slightly less.
I’m an every 4 day washer, this leaves my hair feeling clean after just one wash. I can choose to use or not use conditioner, either way my hair brushes out nicely. Was using bar soap and didn’t realize how heavy my hair felt, not anymore!
I found Cocofomm while researching shampoo bars. I wanted to reduce plastic usage and find a shampoo that worked for my daughter and me. I read the reviews and decided to try it. I wanted to get the starter set, but was hoping to have two different types, one oily and one dry. Liz, the founder, wrote back quickly and helped adjust my order to get the two types. There is a learning curve to find the right amount for your hair length, but keep trying. The oily type has been so beneficial to my daughter's hair. It doesn't look oily anymore and is so soft. I had a bit more of a challenge. While I really liked the shampoo and how shiny my hair became, I was slightly itchy. I mentioned my daughter thought the mint smell was a bit strong. Liz again helped me and let me know there were now more choices than Tea Tree Mint. She sent Just Mint for me and Sunny Citrus for my daughter. I discovered that I have a previously unknown issue with mint as I was still itchy. I tried the Sunny Citrus even though it was the oily hair type. The Sunny Citrus is perfect for me. Sunny Citrus is now available on the website. I was able to order it this morning to get for my hair type. I bought elsewhere a small set of metal twist lid containers and those work well for keeping the shampoo dry and taking up much less space then a shampoo bottle.Looking forward to being a long time customer and seeing what else is eventually offered. Hopefully a condition as my ends still need a bit of conditioning. The customer service is amazing. Liz really cared about my experience an helping me figure out what may have been bothering my skin and helping me find an alternative.
So, I didn't have any spare shakers in my house and since I love their shampoo I decided to get the two refills and the shaker. I love their shaker! Yes, it is made out of plastic but I honestly don't mind it since it's just for my shampoo. Plus, it is easy to refill so win win! I will say my hair is always super dry so I do need to have a conditioner bar BUT I have no frizz and my hair doesn't puff up in the humidity now! Also, just to let everyone know they have TWO OTHER SCENTS!! The scents are Sunny Citrus and Unscented. Just contact them first if you would like the other options :)
Love it! Easy to use, leaves my hair feeling nice and clean. I love not having the big plastic one-use bottles cluttering up my shower.
